Vacation Bible School
We Met God on the Mountain!
Manakin Episcopal Church was an exciting place to be from August 2nd through August 6th! Our theme for Vacation Bible School this year was “Meet God On The Mountain.” Months of planning culminated in a wonderful week of adventure and learning for 25 children and 30 helpers. We learned about meeting God through music, drama, crafts, dance, Bible study, storytelling, backpack adventure and food. The week ended with a huge luncheon on Friday in the Parish Hall when friends and parents joined in the fun. There was even a special guest appearance by the “Manakin Mountain Ramblers!” During the week we collected money for Episcopal Appalachian Ministries. VBS Sunday was on August 8th and many children and staffers contributed to our worship with song and our monetary offering.
