Habitat for Humanity

Tri-Cities Habitat for Humanity has been building homes in the area for nine years, and they are affiliated with the larger Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI).  Habitat is dedicated to providing housing for low-income families, with mortgage payments going toward the building of more homes. HFHI has built more than 150,000 houses since its formation in 1976.

This will be our tenth year working with Habitat. Manakin has provided dollars and workers to build nine homes. We have raised over $25,000 for this cause through the dedicated efforts of our Outreach Committee. We also thank all those who have volunteered to work on each home and look forward to building many more for qualified, low income families.
