Altar Guild
Currently there are 25 women serving on the Manakin Church Altar Guild. The Guild prepares the church and altar for worship services, including baptisms, weddings, funerals and any special services. The Altar Guild provides direct support to wedding parties during the rehearsal and ceremony. Two members coordinate six teams rotating during the course of the year. On-the-job training is provided with much support and encouragement to anyone who would like to participate in this important and rewarding ministry of the church.
You may place orders for Easter lilies to honor or memorialize loved ones. The order forms are on the table in the Parish Hall below the bulletin board.
The 2008 flower chart is posted in the Parish Hall. If you would like to donate flowers in memory or in honor of someone on a particular Sunday, please sign the the chart an enter the information in the red book. Please note that during Lent we will only use greens on the altar.
